I came across this forum looking for something on the internet to help me put some sense this this never ending obsessive behavior.

I was a victim of dv, my husband took the classes, completed his probation and immediately thought he had a clean bill to do whatever he wanted. He is seriously controlling and vindictive also a ruthless alcoholic. Christmas morning we left again, me and 2 kids. He had threatened to kill me with his fist in my face pushed up against a wall. The way the law seems to work is let him hit you or worse before anything is really done. I left everything except the kids. He had filed for divorce prior to that because he offered my 14 year old money to show her breasts to him.. he thought I would charge him as a pedophile. So he handed me the divorce papers again in front of the kids x-mas eve. Told me to get out of his house, wouldnt let me touch anything and even took the knobs off the water pipes so I couldnt wash clothes. So after he insister he didnt want a divorce, he loved me and if I dont allow him to call it off it would get bloody.
Months have gone by, we stayed with friends.. he fought the PPO saying he was moving to the city I was in. The PPO is in effect still but I decided to move 45 minutes the other direction since he was moving there. He posts things on the internet about me, alot under myspace so the teens show them to me. Posts pics of me saying I am a cheating wife and I like men and women. I got a PO box in another city and confidential address and unlisted phone number. Within a week of being there he sent a card to the house so I would know he knew where we were. I had company 3 times. My phones start ringing and he is screaming "get him out now".. he tells my little one who is 6 that he has cameras on our house and he knows everything we do. He has my little one ask me if I watch the cheaters show on tv.. its funny. He calls me every name you can think of in front of my son too my son for him to repeat it too me. He has told me numerous times that he is moving a couple blocks over from me now. He is supposed to move in 2 weeks from what he tells the little one. There is alot involved he has threatened our 2 teens. My daughter is sick to her stomach everyday and scared.. I hate it.. I try not to worry about it hoping nothing bad happens. He stole a key to my van so I had to have the locks on my vehicle changed, I know he broke into the garage and stole the poles that secured the side doors. I havent lived where we are but 1 1/2 months. These kids are scared and I guess my only option is to move again but I cant afford too. This man dont want a divorce so dont show up to court. my attorney bill is at 4600.00 and I cant even afford milk for these kids, he dont pay any child support because he said he disolved his business (was self emplyed). I know it not true but he convinces the foc he only eats every other day etc.. but he wouldnt give us our things he bought a new place , new furniture, new car.. he has 3 vehicles and no drivers license for 2 dui's in the last 7 years. Im overwhelmed. 2 seperate counties are notified, I make reports as told.. but cant they stop someone from moving in a couple blocks from you?? I have given them al the documentation of his threats of finding me etc. Now he threatening that my friends at the police department.. if I am wrong... he not supposed to call, text he does. Doesnt seem to matter, the PPO seems worthless.

I dont think it will ever end.. its been 7 months and I am exhausted, physically, emotionally and financially. I tend to think that all the ads about domestic violence and stalking are money makers for the state, really dont do anything to stop the violence. This is the reason so many women return to the person who abuses them, the state makes money and leave the women and children in the poor house.
Just my opinion but honesty.. I am so fearful and exhausted I am ready to give up.
Thanks for listening.. hopefully other stories are more positive.

http://www.TargetedIndividuals.com

The System

Many people grow up in society never realising that the world is not really controlled by just governments but it's also controlled by a system. Some people might consider this system similar to another government that operates outside of the mainstream government. The system is more structured and less democratic than many of us realise, or are willing to believe.

The system that really exists and that controls society is really made up of the powerful and elite, Corporations and Governments. The powerful elite, do not care who is in government, because they will always have the primary say with how things go, and what the final outcome is. The same has become true for corporations, and powerful interests. Then there is the will of the government, the body that appears to be elected by the people, but who is there to really serve the will of these powerful interests.

To keep the system in place and running smoothly, there are appendages that are set in place to teach the population how to act, think, behave, and yes how to conform to the system. The system wants people to come up thinking that they are completely free and can act, think, and feel however they choose to. This is true to an extent, as long as your interest do not run too contrary to what the system has in mind. Once your interest start to run contrary, or you do something to step out of what the system considers acceptable boundaries, that is when you enter the Targeted Individual zone.

School
This is the first appendage that the system has in place. School is suppose to be there to educate you, to let you know how wonderful your life is in this democratic country. How lucky you are to have democracy, freedom, the right to free speech, free thought, and the right to act. Some of this is true, but in reality, you have these rights as long as your actions do not run too contrary to what the system wants and desires, again once this happens it's another ball game.

Today the hyper-active child is sought out and put on medication to keep them in line. What was normal childhood behavior 50 years ago, is now medicated away. If parents refuse, their children can be forcefully drugged against a parents will. This is just one way a parent could find themselves an enemy of the state if they resist this.

What happens now even before children get to school, and will be happening more frequently is that families will be receiving visits from the health nurse. This person will come into your home and make sure that you are doing everything from the start to raise your children up in a way that is agreeable to the state. This in another time period might have been seen as somewhat envasive, but in countries such as the UK, this will become the norm over the next few years.

Once children are in school, their education of conformity and control continues. Years before they ever enter school, their conditioning will have begun with the media and the television. Once in school they are taught to be susceptible to peer pressure. They are taught to obey authority figures. They are taught in subtle ways to not question the system. They are taught how to act in ways that will make them be good and acceptable citizens as they grow older. The once that fit into the system the most, advance the quickest. The ones that do not, will often have many obstacles to face.

In one major Canadian city it was noted that 50% of ethnic minority males often dropped out, or were pushed out of schools before the age of 16. Due to the new zero tolerance programs that had been implemented. When reviewed it was discovered that those programs were targeting these ethnic minority students. The zero tolerance program is being revamped, but not before it was able to provide a generation of young ethnic males who had no education, very few choices, and were very much at the mercy of the state, and their desire to create a generation of civilian spies who are loyal to the state.

Work
Often by the time school the media and any religious affiliations are finished with us, we go off to look for a job. We go to these institutions never questioning why things should be this way. Work is just another branch of control and conformity. Those who can pretend to get along well, or who fit into the structure the most advance. Others who do not, or who question the system in some way, will be bullied, mobbed, out of the system.
Religion
Religion is primarily another system of control and conformity. Most individuals are aware to a degree of how structured religion can be. They should be aware that people can and have been socially annexed. Religious views, values and beliefs are deeply regulated. In society we often think that we have made great strides when it comes to separating church from the state, but the control and conformity the church loses, the state picks up the slack.
The Media
They call it television programing for a reason. Everything we see, hear, absorb from the media again teaches us how to conform, what we should strive for, how we should look, think, act, feel. It's again another way we are controlled and socialized.

Most of us are plugged into the media in one form or another from the time we are born, until we die. We trust it, and it often helps to tell us what our views values and beliefs should be. Most people do not realise the impact this has on them, but it has a great impact on molding what people think, believe, and even how they act. When subtle social conformity fails what happens next? That is what we are seeing now. When these forms of subtle social conformity are not enough to do the job, then other forms of control are put into place.

Targeted Individuals
When these more conventional methods of control and conformity fail, then individuals can become targeted by the system in several ways:

Socially annexed
Mobbed/Bullied
Contelpro Programs
Gang Stalking
The Buzzsaw
Covert War

There are many ways that individuals can be made to be brought in line, from the simple, subtle methods of peer pressure, to the more extreme. Many Targeted Individuals found that something about them, and their personality profiles made them fall into this category. From experience many of the Targeted Individuals that I have come across have a lot of the same characteristics. They would fit very nicely into the reasons people are targeted for bullying.

The girl at work who is sexually harassed, and decides to take the corporation to court, and will not stop fighting the system, could easily become a Targeted Individual.

The student who is mobbed or bulled out of school that decides to take the facility to task, might also become a future Targeted Individual.

The parent that goes up against the school board, or who refuses to give their child the latest newly approved STD vaccine, might have problems if they refuse to comply.

The journalist who goes after the story that the state would rather see killed. Such as Journalist who go after 911 truth, and other such stories. They will find themselves at the mercy of the buzzsaw.

The Activists and Dissidents who are too outspoken, such as Judi Bari. They might find themselves targets of Cointelpro, or other such programs.

The whistle-blower, who told on the big bad corporation, might also find themselves targeted by the state.

The church member that has decided that they do not wish to be part of that new church that they had just joined, might find themselves being stalked and harassed in the same way.

The unknowing person, who just happens to upset that powerful person who is a part of a powerful brotherhood, who has connections. They might also find that their lives and future career goals and ambitions, are subtly stripped away.

The wife who tries to leave her abusive ex-spouse, who just also happens to have the right connections. Many spouses of police officers, have reported similar types of stalking and Targeted Individual types of harassment.

The average guy who stands up for that other average guy who is being bullied. If you accidentally step into the wrong situation, and thaw the efforts of some of these people, you could find yourself the next target of their harassment.

The examples above are just a small sampling of how someone might become a Targeted Individual. Once you fall into this category, your harassment might range from subtle harassment, to outright gang stalking, and electronic harassment. Society is not what most people think it is. What we see, the world around is an illusion in many ways, the sooner we come to that realisation the better off we are.

Once targeted by the system, many of us are unable to find help or assistance and will face a life time of harassment. To date the best thing that we can do for ourselves, if exposing what is happening. Most of society takes part in these sorts of harassment in some way shape or form and so it is very imperative that we be cognizant of the bigger picture, and realise that we are up against a system of control and conformity.

Hostile Hallways: The AAUW Survey on Sexual Harassment in America's Schools (1993) Sexual harassment in schools is wide-spread.

* Four in 5 students (81%) say they have experienced some form of sexual harassment during their school lives: 85% of girls and 76% of boys.

* One in 4 students (25%) have experienced 1 or more of the 14 surveyed types of sexual harassment in school and say they are targeted "often."

* More than half the students surveyed (58%) report that they have been targeted "often" or "occasionally."

* There are notable gender and racial/ethnic gaps.

* Nearly 1 in 3 girls (31%) who have been harassed have experienced unwanted advances "often," compared with fewer than 1 in 5 boys (18%).

* Two in 3 girls (66%) who have been harassed report that they have been targeted "often" or "occasionally." This is true for fewer that 1 in 2 boys(49%).

* For girls, 87% of whites report having experienced sexual harassment compared with 84% of African Americans and 82% of Hispanics.

* Among boys, African American (81%) have experienced sexual harassment, compared with whites(75%)and Hispanics (69%).

* In grades 7, 8, and 9, many more girls than boys first experience sexual harassment in school.

* One in 3 students (32%) who have been harassed* first experience sexual harassment in grade 6 or earlier.

* Among girls who have been harassed, African Americans (42%) and Hispanics (42%) are more likely to first have experienced harassment in grade 6 or earlier-compared with whites(31%).

* For 6% of students who have been harassed, the first experience of sexual harassment took place before grade 3.

* Twice as many boys (36%) as girls (18%) are unable to recall the grade in which they were first harassed in school.

* Sexual comments, jokes, looks, and gestures-as will as touching, grabbing, and/or pinching in a sexual way-are commonplace in school.

* Two in 3 of all students surveyed (66%) have been targets of the above forms of verbal/gestural abuse.

* 65% of all girls and 42% of all boys surveyed have experienced touching, grabbing, and/or pinching in a sexual way.

* The third most common form of sexual harassment in school involves intentionally brushing up against someone in a sexual way-something girls experience far more often than boys.

* 57% of all girls surveyed have experienced this, in contrast to 36% of boys.

* Among all girls surveyed, African Americans (64%) have been the target of this physical form of harassment compared with whites (58%) and Hispanics (49%).

* Among all boys surveyed, nearly half of African Americans (49%) experienced this behavior, compared with a third or less of whites (34%) and Hispanics (29%).

* Students say they would be very upset if they were called gay or lesbian. Being called gay would be more upsetting to boys than actual physical abuse.

* 86% of all students say they would be very upset if they were called gay or lesbian-85%of boys and 87% of girls respond this way.

* For boys, this is the most disturbing form of unwanted behavior: 88% of Hispanic boys and 85% of both African American and white boys would be troubled by being called gay.

* 17% of students say they have been called lesbian or gay when they didn't want to be-10% of girls and 23% of boys.

* Of those boys who have been called gay, more than half (58%) say they have called someone else gay.

* Nearly 4 in 5 students (79%) who have been harassed have been targeted by peers: current or former students.

* Two in 3 (66%) of all boys and more than half (52%) of all girls say they have sexually harassed someone in the school setting.

* Similarly, of the 59% of students who admit to having perpetrated sexual harassment in school, 94% say they, themselves, have been harassed-98% of girl harassers and 92% of boy harassers.

* Among all girls surveyed: African Americans (63%) and whites (66%), compared with 56% Hispanics, admit to having perpetrated such behavior.

* Half of those students (49%) who have harassed someone at school admit to having harassed a student of the opposite sex-43% of girls and 54% of boys say this. More than 1 in 10 (11%) admit to having harassed someone of the same sex as themselves-15% of boys and 5% of girls.

* Among girls who have been harassed: 81% report having been harassed by a male acting alone, 57% by a group of males.

* Among boys who have been harassed: 57% report having been harassed by a female acting alone.

* Adult-to-student harassment is nonetheless considerable, with notable gender and ethnic/racial gaps.

* 18% of students who have been harassed cite adults as the perpetrators.

* One in 4 girls (25%) and 1 in 10 boys (10%) who have been harassed say they have been harassed by a school employee (such as a teacher, coach, bus driver, teacher's aide, security guard, principal, or counselor).

* Among girls, adult-student harassment is more commonly experienced by African Americans (33%) than whites (25%) and Hispanics (17%).

* Harassing others is a routine part of school culture-more so for boys than girls.

* Of those students who admit to having sexually harassed someone, 37% say "It's just part of school life/a lot of people do it/it's no big deal"-41% of boys and 31% of girls.

* Of the 25% of perpetrators who say "I thought the person liked it," 27% are boys and 23% are girls.

* Public areas are the most common harassment sites-especially as reported by girls.

* Two in 3 students who have been harassed (66%) say they have been harassed in the hallway.

* More than half (55%) of those who have been harassed cite the classroom.

* Far more girls than boys have been harassed in the hallway (73% and 58%, respectively). The same holds true for the classroom: 65% of girls and 44% of boys report being harassed here.

* More than 2 in 5 harassed students (43%) have been targeted outside of school, on school grounds (other than the parking lot). * More than one-third of students have been harassed in the school cafeteria, most notably white boys (37%), compared with African American boys (29%) and Hispanic boys (24%).

* More than 1 in 4 students (26%) have been harassed on school transportation (to and from school; on school trips). 38% of African American girls cite this, compared with 31% of white girls and 16% of Hispanic girls.

* Students usually do not report incidents to adults. Boys are more likely than girls to tell no one.

* Fewer than 1 in 10 students who have been harassed (7%) say they have told a teacher, although girls are twice as likely to have done so as boys. Fewer than 1 in 4 students who have been harassed (23%) say they told a parent or other family member roughly 1 in 3 girls (34%) and 1 in 10 boys (11%).

* 63% of harassed students say they told a friend-77 of girls and 49% of boys.

* 23% of harassed students say they told no one-27% of boys and 19% of girls.

* Notably higher numbers of girls than boys say they have suffered as a result of sexual harassment in school; African American girls have suffered the most.

* Nearly 1 in 4 students (23%) who have been sexually harassed say that as a result they did not want to attend school: 33% of girls, compared with 12% of boys. The numbers are very similar for those who say they do not want to talk as much in class after having experienced harassment.

I was watching North Country I found it interesting to note that the first thing her company did was to get not only the best high priced lawyer, but they went and found the best high priced female lawyer. I find that's a classic thing that harassers will try to do, they will try to use your own against you, it's a classic harassment ploy and the interesting thing is that it works pretty well.

There is always someone who is willing to be bought or sold, someone with a lack of scruples who is willing to go along with whatever is happening for the few scraps that will be offered to them, someone willing to sell out. In the real life version of North Country Lois Jensen not only had to battle against the company she worked for, but also the woman who worked at the mines. She was harassed by the very woman who were also being harassed. They hung a noose at her locker to try to keep her quite about the harassment, harassment they were all suffering. At least in their case I think they were just scared. The trial lawyer who represented the company is another story. I always wonder how she could represent a company like that, and I wondered what would have happened if the class action lawsuit had not been won, it was the first of it's kind. It helped establish sexual harassment policies across America and yet it might not have been. Harassers will always try to use your own against you, it's a standard ploy. I think what has to change is that people have to stop going along with things just because they can. I think people have to stop choosing the lowest common denominator. I think people have to be stop being willing to sell out to the highest bidder, for peanuts. I also think woman and men have to realise that the harm they do to others goes way further than just one incident. Each situation sets the precedence for future situations.

Maybe you thought it was funny to help harass the person at your school or office, but someday you might have children and someday what you help create might be the world that they have to grow up in, the dirt that you help to cover will be the mire that your own might have to face someday. Harassers never think that they might have a child someday who is not a mindless drone, who might not go along with everything a school or company tries to throw at them. They never think that one of their own might someday find themselves being harassed by the same systems they helped create with their participation and complacence. Too many people think harassment will never happen to them or to someone they know, but the world is changing fast. The harassment statistics for adults and children are staggering. For schools it's estimated that 1 in 3 girls have experienced sexual harassment and 1 in 5 boys.
think awareness and the clique culture of keeping silent and turning a blind eye or participating in such actions is the first thing that has to change.Children at an early stage have to learn what harassment is so that when they see it or experience it they can identify it for what it is. Adults have to recognize it's not just a part of childhood. Children every year in every country kill themselves because of this phenomenon. The term bullycide has been coined due to this happening so frequently. With all the education and programs in place the tide is not changing for the better, it's becoming more widespread and worst.
The main thing that I notice repeatedly about harassers is that they will always try to treat the targets of their harassment as the problem. In North Country it was horrifying to watch the members of the mine try to paint Josie as the problem because she did not want to be harassed and because she was finally taking action against them. This behaviour however is at the heart of most harassers. They want to shut the target up, keep their dirty deeds hidden, when the target does not go along with this that's when the real harassment begins. I think the thing we want to remember about most targets of harassment is what Tim Fields mentioned in why do the harassers choose their targets.

http://www.bullyeq.com/bol/workbully/bul..._selection

http://www.bullyeq.com/bol/workbully/faq.htm1.

Bullying is never the targets fault, however the harassers will always try to paint the target as the problem. (The target has the negative attitude, the target is the problem.) Of course they do, they have been bullied.

2. Targets are often good at their jobs, school etc. They are often smarter and better.

3. Bullies are predatory and opportunistic. (They will get away with it if they can.)

4. They have a well defined sense of values and are not willing to compromise.

5. They have a sense of integrity, which bullies despise.

6. They refuse to join an established clique.

7. They show independence of thought or deed.

8. Refusing to become a corporate drone or clone.

9. Targets often have a combination of these personalities. a) Popular Competentc) Intelligentd) Honeste) Sense of honorf)
High coping skillsg) High expectationsh) Well defined sense of vales, not willing to abandon or compromise.i) Strong sense of humourThe list goes on. I think Tim Fields did one of the most exceptional jobs in defining what makes the bully tick. Why they seek their targets. Targets do often have a higher values, they do have unlimited power to be successful. They are brilliant, popular or beautiful or a combination. (Without meaning to, they do draw the jealousy of those that are less than stellar.) Targets are often special and unique, they do not want to be part of cliques they want to be individuals. (They don't know any other way, they are able to stand alone, because they have enough to stand on their own.) Just like anyone else targets prefer to associate with others who are like them, that often means seeking out the best and the brightest. No different than anyone else. Targets often draw the envy of others because they do have personalities that are not willing to be compromised, they are capable of being leaders, they are intelligent. This never goes over well with those who do not have these qualities and they will often go after a target for this reason. Harassers always interpret the actions of their targets as being better than or arrogant, but it's just who they are. They have standards, decency morals, and most harassers are lacking in these qualities. Once the harassment starts and you have a target who has high moral standards who is not will to compromise with harassment then the only thing left for the harasser to do is to paint the target as a problem. Crazy, aggressive, a bad worker. When that fails they will use methods like giving them bad assignments, impossible targets, anything to undermine the targets. They will withhold promotions, or commendations, they will do everything in their power to make sure that the harassed does not appear in a good light, while constantly highlighting the achievement of those that are less than stellar, or drones who they wish to promote to follow into their footsteps. Not every school, or workplace is like this, but too many are like this, and too many get away with it.
